The third and final trailer for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker just premiered during the halftime show of Monday Night Football and it gives fans the last bit of footage before it hits theaters on December 20th (previews start on December 19).
If you’ve been following along with the series, that’s not much else I can tell you that you don’t already know, but J.J. Abrams is back at the helm and looks to give this final chapter of the Skywalker Saga the epic conclusion that it deserves. With glimmers of Rey (Daisy Ridley) and Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) coming to blows and then seemingly working together, there seems to be a bit of misdirection at hand that definitely will fill the internet with plenty of chatter and fan theories as we wait for the film to bow.
Fans will be touched by a moment with C-3PO (Anthony Daniels), as well as a glimpse of Carrie Fisher’s final appearance as Leia. You can also hear a glimpse of Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) seemingly giving Rey some final guidance. You just know that this is all going to hit you straight in the feels.
Enjoy the final trailer for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker and go get your tickets if you haven’t already (and if there are any left)
