It’s safe to say that Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon A Time In Hollywood is high up on every cinephile’s most anticipated films of the year.
Ever since the details first emerged about Tarantino’s ninth film (and penultimate, as he will supposedly stop after his tenth), we were excited. But when we found out it would star Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, and Margot Robbie … Tarantino had our attention.
DiCaprio and Pitt, unbelievably co-starring together for the first time ever in a feature film, are Hollywood talent circa 1969 – actor Rich Dalton and stuntman Cliff Booth, respectively. Then there’s Margo Robbie as Sharon Tate, with a brief glimpse of Damon Herriman as Charlie Manson and Mike Moh as Bruce Lee – just a taste of the familiar faces Tarantino will be bringing back to life in the film. The plot, though, is barely touched on in this first teaser trailer, leading to much online speculation.
The Once Upon a Time in Hollywood teaser trailer does show off Tarantino’s signature style and humor-laced dialogue, and it certainly doesn’t shy away from its star power (much like 2015’s The Hateful Eight). But there’s enough there to make us confident that this is going to be a film every bit as entertaining as advertised.
Sony Pictures will release Once Upon A Time In Hollywood in theaters in July. Enjoy the trailer below.
