Caesar is back for more revenge in War for the Planet of the Apes, the next epic installment of the Planet Of The Apes franchise. Matt Reeves returns to direct (he also helmed Dawn of the Planet of the Apes) and looks to deliver the biggest film that the series has seen to date. Today, 20th Century Fox has revealed the first full-length trailer for the film.
Caesar and his apes are facing off with an army of humans led by the fierce and ruthless Colonel (Woody Harrelson). With voiceover flashbacks playing, we see that Caesar is still plagued with memories from the past two films. All of it culminates with the intense battle that awaits both them and the humans, who are quickly putting any humanity that remains aside. The trailer showcases some memorable imagery, including some rather intense battle footage that should play real nice on the biggest screen you can find come this summer.
Reeves shares writing credits with Matt Bomback (and of course original writer, Pierre Boulle) and leads a cast that includes Harrelson, Andy Serkis, Judy Greer, Steve Zahn, and Amiah Miller.
