In a surprise turn of events, director Zack Snyder unleashed the first trailer for Justice League (2017) during the DC panel at San Diego Comic Con.
Despite Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) getting mixed receptions earlier this year, DC is moving ahead full-steam cultivating their Extended Universe. Suicide Squad (2016) is just a mere two weeks away, and previous announcements about upcoming films, including an Affleck-directed solo Batman film slated for 2018, have been tantalizing.
The main worry, at least in my opinion, has always been DC forcing the introduction of characters to catch up to competing franchises with more seniority. Dawn of Justice grabbed some criticism for feeling too crammed, with the extended edition running a remarkable three hours in length. But this first trailer, in essence, has convinced me that it will all work out. It’s looks really good.

Justice League is set to hit theaters on November 17th, 2017.
