(The Final) Trailer: ‘SPECTRE’

SPECTRE

With the release of the 24th film in the James Bond franchise a little over a month away, Sony and MGM are cranking up the hype train speed with one final trailer that tells you just about all you need to know before settling into a dark theater for SPECTRE – be it conventional, LieMAX, or IMAX.

You’ve got James Bond (Daniel Craig), one of three Bond women Dr. Madeleine Swann (Lea Seydoux), the villainous Franz Oberhauser (Christoph Waltz), a glimpse of henchman Hinx (Dave Bautista), plenty of international locales to choose from (Mexico, a desert, the Swiss Alps), and enough actions and explosives to knock you back in your seat – and all in 75 seconds. Oh, and that the organization SPECTRE has been pulling the strings for a long time – and somehow Bond has a connection.

Sam Mendes is in the director’s seat once again, working off a script from John Logan, Neil Purvis, Robert Wade, and Jez Butterworth. Also returning are Gareth Mallory/M. (Ralph Fiennes), Q (Ben Whishaw), Eve Moneypenny (Naomie Harris), Bill Tanner (Rory Kinnear), and Mr. White (Jesper Christensen), and Monica Bellucci and Andrew Scott join the cast as Lucia Sciarra and Max Denbigh, respectively. Sam Smith has the honor of performing the theme for SPECTRE, titled “Writing’s On The Wall”.
